Sailing across the Gulf stream from Fort Lauderdale to Bimini in order to start our 2021 dolphin season. We met the dolphins on the way! Offshore Bottlenose dolphins. What a sight. Made the crossing extra special and a good omen! We are very excited to start the season.

The dog needs a life jacket!

It is a lot harder for dogs to stay afloat above water than humans...they don't float as well. She should be wearing a life jacket for how long the cardiovascular is being pushed, or not in the water at all. She struggles a few times to keep her head above the water. The boat doesn't look close enough.
lol.. you clearly know nothing about large breed dogs.. yes they would sink vertically but they are naturally WAY more buoyant than humans and need very little effort to doggy paddle around like that horizontally as long as they aren’t fighting some major current .. their bones and bodies were made for this.. more likely to get an ear infection or even a tail injury known for dogs that are swimmers.. please don’t post complete falsehoods 😂
@kimkidder4229 Large breed dogs are no different from small breed dogs when it comes to cardiovascular in general. Not all "large breeds" are good swimmers, nor are all small breeds. If you watch dogs that swim good, they will keep their head above water, and show consistency. There are certain physical characteristics that dogs have that swim good. This dog is struggling several times, and appears to want to push it as most dogs will do. Some dogs will quit when they get tired out, but some won't if they are having too much fun. Remember, he can't talk, so you will never know how his fatigue is. Just like infants that can't talk, I can't imagine a mother just letting her baby swim for as long as he/she wants. Additionally, this is salt water, and it will increase dehydration, and increase the heart rate (cardiovascular), as well as other symptoms....added with the sun and heat in this area, can be possibly fatal to the dog. It does not take a whole lot of knowledge to know the dog is having problems at times keeping his head above the water...and obviously ingesting it. This is a common sense decision to make if an animal or human is going under the water at times....nothing to "lol" about.

When it’s your dog then you get to make the decision about whether or not your dog is a confident enough swimmer to swim with dolphins without a life jacket or not. I love these moments between dogs and their humans, it’s the experience of a lifetime…

The Satang music is sappy and annoying. I guess it's supposed to add to the overall moods? Also, great aerial shots but if I wasn't in your group. that drone sound would've been really irritating to put up with. Looks like you were a bit out in to the sea though, so probably no one around. Wonder why the dolphins didn't surface? Maybe they didn't like the drones either? Also wonder if Sandy was trying to bite at the dolphins or just following? None of the dolphins seemed to come within touching reach of Sandy. Sandy is the best part of the video. She gets to be a real dog and roll around in the sand upon reaching shore. A dirty dog is a happy dog 🙂
